Student mental health is being neglected. Most public-school campuses are stretched too thin on resources to rethink their approach in helping students with behavior and/or learning challenges. In most cases, these students are left behind to navigate emotional challenges on their own, resulting in class disruption.
The BAMM program targets at risk and under privilege students who may be faced with personal and or mental challenges that can reflect on their ability to learn. When a student is under immense pressures or in an environment of fear, anxiety, frustration, or confusion it is reflective on their attitude, behavior, and their ability to learn. Bridge The Gaps can help! Our BAMM program has helped influence students inside and outside of the classroom and encourage the benefits of youth activities to help create balance, physical health, and encompass a positive peer environment.
